Body appearance design
The GFIII wooden keyboard (Grand Feel III) adopted by CA901 inherits many principles related to acoustic pianos, combining authentic materials, percussion principles, and mechanical structure, reproducing the extraordinary touch of top-notch concert grand pianos.
All 88 black and white keys are made of a single piece of wood, using high-quality textured ivory and ebony materials to create the surface of the keys, which is used to absorb hand sweat and assist fingers in controlling the keys. The fulcrum of each wooden piano key is smoothly fixed on the balance pin, and the rising and falling movements at both ends of the key simulate the "seesaw" like motion mechanism of an acoustic piano string strike machine. When the piano key is pressed, the end of the key tilts up, triggering the hammer to strike the pressure switch of the graded counterweight. Then measure the force applied to this switch to produce the corresponding sound, including the matching sound characteristics and volume.

Advanced Audio Technology
Developed by an experienced audio engineering team from KAWAI's R&D department, the CA901 features components designed specifically for presenting audiophile quality audio. The high-performance dual DAC (digital to analog conversion) component uses a unique filtering processor specifically developed for acoustic piano sound, combined with the Concert Artist series of high specification power amplifiers, allowing KAWAI SK-EX to reproduce the original sound, presenting stunning richness and clarity.
Premium speaker driver
In addition to advanced audio processing and amplifier hardware configuration, the CA901 is also equipped with a high specification speaker system developed by audio experts. High quality drivers are selected for their flat frequency response and extremely low distortion characteristics, ensuring accurate reproduction of the sound of the Shigeru Kawai concert grand piano SK-EX.
Two speakers installed at the top can clearly project the mid frequency and expand the depth of sound perception to reproduce the sound presented by the length of the grand piano. In addition, two front projection speaker units and two dome tweeters are installed behind the upper panel, providing a sense of presence and presence for the performer, allowing the resonance generated by the SK-EX piano rendering engine to shine like a true acoustic piano.
